This half of a phosphate nodule is composed of radiating crystals of resinous, dark-yellow satterlyite. One of the more rare minerals from the type locality Big Fish River, Yukon. This mineral is seldom seen, even at rich phosphate localities in the remote Yukon, and is nearly nonexistent from other places. The remote phosphate deposits of the Yukon are renowned as one of the world's great sources of rare phosphate species.
