Elongated, almost ropey, curved prismatic red-brown rutile crystals centred on a calcite matrix, with associated green epidote on one side and what appear to be black tremolite crystals (or another amphibole species) on the other. This specimen originates from Little Dam Lake, near Wakefield, Quebec, an especially interesting and lesser-known locality for rutile.
