This specimen features a section of a hemimorphite-lined vug hosting numerous spiky blue-green rosasite spheres, accented by light blue-green chrysocolla scattered in spots. Simply a very nice, colourful, aesthetic sample of association material from this classic Arizona locality.
The 79 Mine, discovered in 1879, is a historic lead-zinc deposit with a long and complex operational history. While the site remains closed to the public, renewed interest and activity under current ownership have resulted in a resurgence of fine mineral specimen recovery.
