Here's a smoky quartz crystal hosting many small topaz crystals enclosed within its structure. This specimen comes from Mount Foster, near Bennett in British Columbia’s Atlin Mining Division—a little-known but important source of rare and collectible minerals. For collectors and mineralogists alike, material from this locality offers a fascinating glimpse into the mineral wealth of northern British Columbia’s less-explored terrains. The tip of the quartz is broken off, the bottom has a little pocket of topaz as well as a spot in the middle. If I were to mount and display this piece I think I'd actually lay it on it's side with the centre mass of topaz pointing up. It's an interesting piece.
