This striking specimen features a curiously rounded cluster of intergrown cubic pyrite crystals with a brassy sheen, set on a matrix covered in pale beige siderite. The small metallic crystals exhibit excellent cubic formations. Pyrite is relatively uncommon from Mont Saint-Hilaire, making this a noteworthy example from the famed Quebec locality, celebrated worldwide for its remarkable mineral diversity. Compact yet eye-catching, this piece would make an excellent addition to any Mont Saint-Hilaire or Canadian mineral collection.
