This specimen features a cluster of Parisite-(Ce) crystals from the Snowbird Mine in Alberton, Montana, a classic locality for the species. Parisite-(Ce) is rarely found in fine display specimens, and the examples from the Snowbird Mine are among the best. This miniature specimen includes several slender, deep reddish-brown prismatic crystals with flat terminations on the matrix. Although most of the crystals have contact points and the piece is not damage-free, it remains a valuable reference specimen from this lesser-known mine, which operated briefly for fluorite in the 1950s. These crystals are fairly rare nowadays!
