A very attractive miniature featuring a shallow vug surface completely covered in an aggregate of super gemmy, champagne-coloured natrolite crystals. The crystals are highly translucent with a bright, glassy lustre, forming a sparkling drusy coating that catches the light beautifully across the entire surface. The uniform coverage and clarity give the piece a clean, elegant appearance that stands out even at this smaller size.
This specimen comes from the famous Mont Saint-Hilaire, Québec, one of the world’s most important alkaline complexes and a classic locality for zeolite and rare species mineralization. Natrolite from this locality is well known for its excellent clarity and attractive crystal habits, and fine examples such as this remain highly desirable to collectors. A strong representative miniature from this renowned Canadian locality.
