A fine example of natrolite from the world-renowned Poudrette Quarry at Mont Saint-Hilaire, displaying one of the classic habits for which the locality is famous. This specimen hosts numerous slender, terminated prismatic crystals with a bright vitreous lustre and attractive translucent, milky-white colour. The crystals are sharply formed and well-defined, illustrating the textbook morphology collectors prize from this alkaline intrusion. Under ultraviolet light, the natrolite fluoresces a vivid green, adding an unexpected and highly desirable dimension to its display. A quintessential piece from a legendary Canadian mineral locality.
