Here's a cluster of well-formed, well-terminated and attractive turquoise-blue amazonite crystals from Colorado, presented as a well-balanced thumbnail specimen that fills its perky box very nicely. It comes from the pegmatites near Vermillion Creek Lake in the George Park area—an area renowned for producing some of the finest amazonite specimens in the state. A classic and appealing example, it would make a great addition to any thumbnail or Colorado mineral collection.
