Meta-Autunite

Daybreak Mine, Mount Kit Carson, Spokane Co., Washington
USA
Dimensions: 3.2x1.8x0.7 cm

$200.00

This is an excellent thumbnail specimen of meta-autunite from the renowned uranium-producing Daybreak Mine in Washington. The specimen exhibits the characteristic yellow-green hue, with foliated, platy orthorhombic crystals. It exhibits intense neon green fluorescence under UV light. Mined in the 1950s and 60s, specimens from this active period are now quite rare. The daybreak is a classic U.S. locality for radioactive minerals, and is the type locality for meta-autunite.

Note for international customers: This specimen is radioactive. Please ensure your country permits the import of such materials before ordering. Contact me in advance with any specific shipping questions or concerns.

Note: All prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD). International customers are charged in CAD, exchange rate is calculated automatically by your bank/paypal upon checkout.
