This attractive miniature specimen features a central cluster of sharp, brassy marcasite crystals surrounded by well-formed transparent fluorite cubes. Collected from the Dundas Limestone Quarry in southwestern Ontario, this piece showcases the classic mineral association for which the locality is known. Under longwave UV light, the fluorite exhibits a distinctive ghostly-white fluorescence, a fascinating and diagnostic feature of fluorite from this site. A fine well balanced association piece from one of Ontario’s classic mineral localities.
