This specimen showcases a botryoidal cluster of "velvet" malachite, characterized by its rich, velvety texture, accompanied by reticulated cerussite crystals and small yellow globular aggregates of pyromorphite. The combination of these minerals creates a striking and aesthetically pleasing specimen. Acquired by Dr. Tarassoff in 1975 through an exchange with W. Birch, Curator of Minerals at the National Museum of Victoria, this piece is notable for its exceptional mineralogical and visual qualities.
