This plate is covered in deep indigo blue, sharp, and lustrous lazulite crystals on a plate made up of well formed siderite. The specimen comes from the phosphate deposits of Yukon, Canada. Lazulite is a rare magnesium aluminum phosphate, and some of the finest specimens come from this locality. Despite minor contacts visible up close, the specimen is in very good condition. For further reference, see the 1992 issue of The Mineralogical Record, vol. 23, no. 4. Notably, no new material is currently being extracted from Rapid Creek!
