This specimen is a beautiful plate showcasing a mix of sea-foam green augelite, dark indigo-blue lazulite, clear quartz crystals, and some minor tan siderite. It hails from the phosphate deposits of the Yukon, Canada, a locality renowned for producing some of the finest lazulite specimens. Lazulite, a rare magnesium aluminum phosphate, is well-represented in this piece, complementing the other minerals and creating a striking visual contrast. Given that no new material is being extracted from Rapid Creek, specimens from this locality are becoming increasingly rare and valuable. For further reference on this location and its mineral specimens, see The Mineralogical Record, vol. 23, no. 4, 1992.
