This specimen consists of many sizeable deep indigo-blue, sharp, and lustrous lazulite crystals covering two sides of a dark brown sideritic matrix. The specimen comes from the phosphate deposits of the Yukon, specifically at Crosscut Creek . Lazulite is a rare magnesium aluminum phosphate, and some of the finest specimens come from this locality. Notably, no new material is currently being extracted from this isolated and hard to reach locality and this specimen is a real show stopper!
