This specimen showcases a beautiful grouping of bladed blue kyanite crystals. Specimens from the renowned Barra de Salinas District in Brazil are widely regarded as some of the finest kyanite examples in the world, celebrated for their large crystal size and outstanding aesthetic appeal. This piece features two primary sharp, translucent, and vividly blue prismatic kyanite crystals, measuring up to 52 mm in length. The crystals are elegantly positioned in a "V" formation on and partially included within colourless quartz. Though it has a bit of bruising around some edges, this remains a superb example from the iconic Barra de Salinas District in Brazil. Would look great in a display case.
