Ilvaite

This specimen is an impressive example of jet-black ilvaite, featuring parallel growth and multiple well-formed faces. Although there are a few minor chips, the specimen is in excellent condition, with a great overall lustre with some matte patches. This mine in China has produced ilvaite specimens of an exceptional caliber, unmatched in both size and quality. This particular specimen showcases the complex, multiple terminations characteristic of the best crystals from this locality. Nearly complete all around, it stands out for its size.
