This specimen features two micro-mounted sharp amber dodecahedra crystals of amber-coloured hilairite. Some hilairite crystals are isolated, while others are clustered together. The piece originates from the renowned Mont Saint-Hilaire locality in Quebec, a site celebrated for its diversity of rare and unusual minerals. Hilairite, found here in its type locality, ranges in colour from pale to dark brown, white, yellow, colourless, flesh-pink, to rose-red.
