An attractive cluster of green heulandite crystals from the famous basalt quarries of the Aurangabad District, Maharashtra, India. The specimen is composed of intergrown, wedge-shaped crystals displaying the classic sheaf-like habit characteristic of the species. The crystals exhibit a pleasing seafoam to mint-green colour with a soft pearly lustre, an excellent representative example of this classic Indian zeolite.

The Deccan Traps of western India are among the world's greatest sources of zeolite minerals, with thousands of gas cavities in the ancient basalt flows producing exceptional crystallized specimens. The Aurangabad District has long been celebrated for its colourful heulandite, stilbite, apophyllite, and other zeolites, supplying museums and collectors around the globe for decades. Green heulandite of this quality remains one of the most recognizable and sought-after minerals from these world-famous localities. A beautiful thumbnail displaying the classic colour and crystal habit that have made Indian heulandite a favourite among collectors.
