A classic example from this famous Canadian locality, this specimen represents a typical habit composed of a single selenite crystal formed within clay beds as floater aggregates. The Red River Floodway in Winnipeg is famous for producing these striking gypsum specimens, material from there are now rarely encountered, making this an increasingly desirable Canadian classic. It shows a single crystallized gypsum blade with an attractive golden-orange hue. It also exhibits a soft, ghostly white fluorescence under ultraviolet light.
