This striking specimen features a quartz matrix richly mineralized with visible native gold, as well as specks of pyrite, sphalerite, and silver-coloured telluride mineralization. This is a rich specimen with bright yellow-orange gold exposed across the quartz surface. While the specimen lacks specific provenance or mine identification, its overall mineralogy and appearance are consistent with material from the Timmins mining district in Ontario, Canada—a prolific gold-producing region. Despite the absence of a label or confirmed locality, this is an extremely rich and attractive example of gold-bearing quartz from Canada. The specimen weighs 113 grams and the gold content is visually estimated at approximately 5 grams.
