This attractive thumbnail specimen features bright native gold protruding from a clean white quartz matrix, making the piece especially showy for its size.
The specimen comes from the McIntyre Mine, also known historically as the Pamour Mine, one of the classic gold-producing operations in the Timmins mining camp. The mine is well known for yielding high-grade gold specimens, and this small but well-trimmed example captures the characteristic appearance and mineralogy of the deposit in a very collectible thumbnail format.
