This specimen originates from the Red Lake Mining District in northwestern Ontario—one of the most prolific gold-producing regions in Canada and globally. As of 2020, the district has yielded over 26 million ounces of gold. Specimens from Red Lake are highly regarded for their aesthetic appeal and significance in Canadian mining history.
