This is an exceptional thumbnail specimen of rare, grossular garnet crystals with striking green phantoms (caused by chromium) from the renowned Jeffrey Mine, in Quebec, Canada. The grossular crystals featuring sharp rhombic dodecahedral crystallization and have a glassy lustre. The Jeffrey Mine is celebrated for producing some of the finest garnet crystals globally, and this specimen is no exception. Measuring 1–2 mm, they rest elegantly on the matrix with minimal damage, showcasing the exceptional quality expected from this classic Canadian locality.
