This palm-sized specimen features seafoam green fluorite, white calcite rhombs, tarnished brassy chalcopyrite pyramids, minor quartz, minor pyrite, and minor arsenopyrite crystals. The specimen comes from the AGS Fluorite Deposit in Newfoundland, discovered during a diamond drilling program in 2013. The deposit is hosted in meta-sediments intruded by rhyolite sills and dykes. These specimens were acquired from a former AGS mine manager. The site is currently closed, with no known plans for reopening. The specimen is exceptional for the locality and fluoresces very well.
