"Fine group of pale violet cubic crystals up to 2cm. The colour is caused by a thin purple coloured zone parallel to the cube faces in otherwise apparently colourless crystals. Purchased from Hugh A. Ford, New York, 1960"
Excellent specimen of typical fluorspar showing silky lustre and hopped surfaces. Episodic layers of spar with early colourless grading into yellow or grape purple phantoms. Very nice!
