This specimen features a beautiful, light green cluster of fluorite cube-octahedra. One thing that is interesting about this specimen is the flattened and elongated crystal along the back. The specimen comes from the long-depleted and closed Madoc area. Excavated just over a year ago by a colleague from the old surface-exoposed vein, this fresh fluorite is a fine example of the mineralogy of the Rogers Mine, which operated as a fluorite mine several decades ago.
