Fluorite

Isometric Claim, Whiteman Creek, Vernon Mining Division, British Columbia
Canada
Dimensions: 4.8x4.9x3.5 cm
Price: CA

$80.00

A distinctive fluorite specimen featuring cubic crystals with pronounced stepped growth that gives them a softly rounded appearance. The crystals display a hazy translucency with subtle lilac tones concentrated near the core of the cluster. They are set on a quartz–chalcedony matrix. The combination of form, internal zoning, and gentle lustre makes this an appealing example for collectors of fluorite specimens from interesting localities.

This specimen comes from the privately owned Isometric Claim near Whiteman Creek, a small and little-documented locality with very limited access. The area is known for hosting silica-rich volcanic and hydrothermal rocks that have produced localized fluorite mineralization within chalcedony and quartz. Due to challenging terrain, private ownership, and restricted access, collecting from this site has always been difficult and is now considered highly unlikely in the future. As a result, specimens from this occurrence are scarce on the market. Well-preserved examples represent an uncommon and desirable piece of British Columbia fluorite mineralogy.
