This attractive thumbnail specimen features a fluorapatite crystal displaying a good termination on one end and a delicate light sea-foam green colour. The crystal is well formed, with a clean termination and good translucency, making it a pleasing example for its size.
The specimen was collected from the Wakefield area of Québec, a classic Grenville Province locality known for producing fluorapatite. Apatite from this region formed within calcite-rich veins and skarn-related assemblages associated with high-grade metamorphism. While Wakefield apatite is well known among collectors, crystals with attractive colour in good condition are comparatively scarce, making this a desirable thumbnail from a well-established Canadian locality.
