This specimen features a well formed, doubly terminated, mostly blue, fluorapatite crystal sitting atop a white calcite matrix. On the underside is a second, brown, less well-formed flourapatite. This unique fluorapatite comes from a relatively obscure locality in Quebec. The distinctive colouration and nice presentation on the calcite matrix make this piece a fascinating addition for any collector of rare or unusual apatite specimens.
