This specimen features a thumb-sized, pale green, apatite crystal with well formed terminations on both ends, with just a bit of chipping in a couple spots. Interestingly one end appears to encompass a smaller apatite leaving just the tip exposed. This crystal comes from a modern-day classic Grenville locality popular with Ontario rockhounds, known as the Smart Mine or "Miller Property", a calcite vein dyke system once mined for the fluorapatite to use in fertilizers.
