Here's a striking, small cabinet specimen of a lustrous, doubly terminated, variegated apatite crystal, very nicely set in contrasting orange calcite matrix from the famous Yates Mine, at Otter Lake, Quebec. It's raw and naturally etched on one side and split on the other. The prism is wonderfully smooth with great terminations. Displays well and is an excellent example for the locality! Bonus: A second wellformed "secret" fluorapatite can be found safe on the concave underside.
