A flat piece of rough pink crystalline calcite marble hosts two parallel-grown crystals of gemmy, transparent green fluorapatite. The main crystal is 40 cm long with one termination, while the smaller crystal maintains a double termination. The apatite, although naturally broken and cleaved, remains very stable in the rock. An interesting geological as well as mineralogical sample! Adding to its mineral and visual interest, the calcite exhibits excellent red fluorescence.
