A striking, small cabinet specimen of a lustrous, doubly terminated, variegated apatite crystal, very nicely set in contrasting orange calcite matrix from the famous Yates Mine, at Otter Lake, Quebec. While seamlessly integrated with no visible glue, the crystal is likely affixed back onto the host rock, a common practice for fluorapatite specimens from the region. Displays well and is an excellent example for the locality!
