This specimen features a layer of transparent peach to clear, bladed crystals of Ferrierite-Mg. These well-formed blades are sourced from the exposed road cuts along Highway 3A near Yellow Lake in British Columbia. Ferrierite-Mg is a rare zeolite mineral, and this particular occurrence showcases the mineral's delicate crystal habit and subtle coloration. The locality is known for producing some of the finest examples of this species. The near-by Kamloops Lake being the type locality. The bladed crystals exhibit excellent clarity and form, adding to the significance of the find.
