This specimen features a plate of sparkling druse of epidote crystals, collected from Sayward, British Columbia. The bigger epidote crystals exhibit a distinctive wheat-sheaf habit, forming tightly grouped, radiating sprays that catch the light beautifully across the surface. Scattered among the epidote are a few slender quartz prisms here and there. Sayward epidote is not often seen on the market, and this piece is a fine representation of the locality’s unique crystal habits and aesthetics.
