This specimen showcases a stunning elbaite tourmaline crystal with well-defined termination faces and classic striations running along its length. Tiny white albite crystals adorn one side. The crystal’s colouration features a striking pink-lemonade hue, characteristic of many of the gemstones from this locality. Due to its size and shape, this thumbnail specimen needs to lean back at an angle to fit perfectly into its perky box. The piece hails from the world-renowned Paprok locality in Afghanistan, famous for producing many wonderful coloured tourmaline gemstones.
