Elbaite (var: Indicolite)

Here's a textbook thumbnail crystal of Elbaite with minor bruising from the classic Mt. Mica Mine in Paris, Maine! Exhibiting well defined termination faces, lustrous striated prism. The specimen comes from Maine, historically a prolific gem producing state dating back to the early 1800s, and they are still being found today.
