This specimen is a loose floater crystal, originally a cyclicly twinned pseudo-hexagonal aragonite, now completely replaced by dolomite. The crystal is in excellent condition, complete on all sides with no visible points of attachment. This dolomite pseudomorph after aragonite is a unique and impressive example of pseudomorphism, appealing to collectors who appreciate fine crystallographic details. Specimens of this size and preservation are quite rare, adding value to this piece.
