This specimen appears to be a grey-blue diopside from a lesser-known locality in Quebec. The mineral exhibits a fibrous structure, suggesting it is probably a pseudomorph, where another silicate mineral has replaced the original diopside. Possible replacements include tremolite, a member of the amphibole group known for their fibrous and bladed crystal habits. An intriguing and uncommon find.
