This specimen appears to be a grey-blue diopside from a lesser-known locality in Quebec. The mineral exhibits a fibrous structure, suggesting it may actually be a pseudomorph, where another silicate mineral has replaced the original diopside. Possible replacements include tremolite or actinolite, both members of the amphibole group known for their fibrous and bladed crystal habits. An intriguing and uncommon find.
