This specimen features slender acicular needles of cuprosklodowskite, arranged in striking radial sprays throughout the vuggy matrix. A quintessential Musonoi thumbnail, the vibrant apple-green needles, reaching up to 3mm. The renowned Musonoi Mine, an open-pit Cu-Co-U deposit, is celebrated for its exceptional uranium minerals and is the source of the world's finest examples of this rare hydrated copper-uranium silicate. This piece is a rare find, dating back to the mine's active period between 1971 and 1997, during the era when the Democratic Republic of Congo was known as Zaire.
