A singluar, V-twinned cubanite crystal—a good example of this relatively rare mineral. The Henderson Mine at Chibougamau, Quebec, has long been closed, and it remains the only known source of the world’s finest cubanite specimens. This sharp, loose single crystal features brilliant metallic golden iridescence and displays the classic sixling twinning and striations characteristic of the species. There is very minor bruising on the crystal, but overall, it remains a superb representation of both the mineral and its famed locality.
