This specimen features numerous well-formed, cryolite crystals with glassy faces and water-clear colourless gem clarity. Some of which are twinned! These cryolite crystals line much of the cavity and fluoresce a soft yellow under UV illumination. Scattered metallic marcasite crystals are also present, along with white weloganite. Collected by Dr. Tarassoff in 1975, this specimen represents some of the finest examples of cryolite crystals for their size. On top of this it was featured in the Mineralogical Record Volume 37, Issue 1 (figure 31).
