This specimen features a cavity containing numerous well-formed, cryolite crystals with glassy faces and water-clear gem clarity. These crystals range from perfectly colourless with some showing an intense sulfur-yellow core, with faces up to 2mm in size. The cryolite crystals line much of the cavity and fluoresce under UV illumination. Scattered metallic marcasite crystals are also present, along with some quartz and strontianite. Collected by Les Horvath in 1975, this specimen represents some of the finest examples of cryolite crystals for their size and has exceptional provenance.
