Cobaltite

This attractive thumbnail specimen features numerous metallic-bright, inter-grown cobaltite cubes, partially exposed in a dolomitic matrix. A prominent, somewhat elongated cube sits at the top, showcasing well-defined faces with a subtle iridescent sheen. Hailing from the Elizabeth Lake area near Espanola, Ontario, this cobalt-arsenic sulfosalt specimen is a fine and well-displaying example of the species.
