This specimen features light blue to green, botryoidal chrysocolla coating one side of limonite matrix. Its vibrant, smooth globular appearance gives it an almost ice-cream like appearance.

The Planet Mine, located in La Paz County, Arizona, is an old copper and iron mine with a rich history. It operated intermittently from 1863 to 1917 and is known for producing a variety of secondary copper minerals, including chrysocolla. Today, remnants of the mine's past, including old workings, building foundations, and the former post office, remain visible at the site, providing a glimpse into its historical significance. This piece serves as a beautiful example of the mineral diversity associated with the Planet Mine and showcases the area's geological and mining heritage.
