Cerussite ps after Galena, Fluorite

A highly unusual association specimen from the rarely encountered Heson (Hesson) Mine, Arizona, featuring a fluorite rich and partly siliceous matrix covered with cerussite pseudomorphs after cubic galena in association with octahedral purple and green fluorite. The cerussite occurs both as intricate microcrystalline aggregates and as remarkable pseudomorphs after galena, preserving the sharp cubic form of the original lead sulfide crystals through complete replacement. Little to no galena is left in the specimen from what I can tell. Cubes measure up to approximately 8 mm.

Associated fluorite is seen on the specimen but are not the most well formed, rather crude purple octahedrons. Located within the remote Buckskin Mountains of La Paz County, the Heson Mine produced limited lead mineralization, and specimens from this locality are rarely encountered on the market. It makes this an excellent representative specimen from a little-known world fluorite locality and a desirable piece for collectors of cerussite, pseudomorphs, or classic Arizona minerals.
