This miniature specimen from the Tsumeb Mine, Namibia, is a fine example of the locality’s classic secondary mineral assemblages. The small plate of matrix is richly coated with a carpet of micro botryoidal malachite, their deep green hues accented by occasional olive-green mottramite crystals. Adding a bit of brilliance are ice-clear cerussite crystals are scattered elegantly across the surface. Though modest in size, the specimen captures the essence of Tsumeb’s unparalleled mineralogical diversity, showcasing a harmonious association that makes for an aesthetic miniature.
