This specimen features champagne-coloured, equant, complex sixling twins alongside pale yellowish-pink, cockscomb-shaped aggregates of bladed baryte crystals. These attractive clusters rest on a slender sliver of fine-grained dolomite matrix, lending the specimen a beautiful, multi-layered presentation. Dr. Tarassoff acquired this fine piece from a French dealer at the Tucson Mineral Show in 1980, highlighting its historical and collectible value as a classic example of baryte’s unique twinning and colouration from this locality.
